Difference between differential oil and shock oil viscosity:
A lower number indicates thinner oil, while a higher number indicates thicker oil.
One bottle: 2 oz, approximately 60ml.
High-quality shock oil / hydraulic oil / silicone oil / differential oil – specially formulated for RC models.
Shock oil:
Higher viscosity number = higher damping effect; lower number means the opposite.
Shock oil is compatible with 1/8, 1/10, and other scale vehicles. One bottle can fill 1 to 5 shocks, depending on shock size (for reference only).
Differential oil:
Higher viscosity number = thicker oil, resulting in a smaller differential effect; lower number means the opposite.
Differential oil is compatible with 1/8, 1/10, and other scale vehicles. One bottle can fill 3 to 5 differentials, depending on the type (for reference only).
Conversion between WT/W and CST:
10WT = 100CST
20WT = 200CST
30WT = 350CST
40WT = 500CST
50WT = 650CST
60WT = 800CST
70WT = 900CST
80WT = 1000CST = 1K
Note: Differential oil and shock oil are essentially the same base product, differing mainly in viscosity. Therefore, they can be used interchangeably for special tuning setups.
Shock oil provides damping and shock absorption – the higher the viscosity number, the thicker the oil, and the slower the shock response. Users should choose the appropriate oil weight based on vehicle setup, surface conditions, and personal preference.
