Answer 1:
Battery specification: 7.4V 1050mAh 25C, the battery has overcharge and overdischarge protection and intelligent power display function, the charging method is USB charging cable and charging time is 90min.
Answer 2:
It depends on what battery you get, the one i got was a regular 1050mah lipo designed to look like the smart battery, and does no way shape or form get your 40min of play unless you had like 10 minute rest intervals... 20 min tops if you're easy with the throttle

Yes you do need it
